Barry Sullivan 1821-1891

Born in Birmingham. He was a Shakespearian actor, greatly admired in Ireland, England and Australia. He was a hero to the young George Bernard Shaw. He died in Brighton and his remains were brought back to Ireland for burial. The statue was the work of Thomas Farrell. He is buried in Dublin.
