Richard Power 1928-1970

Born in Dublin. He worked as a civil servant. His works include the autobiographical Úll i mBarr an Ghéagáin, The Land of Youth (which was awarded Book of the Month by the Booksellers Guild of America), and his best known book – The Hungry Grass. He is buried in Dublin.
