Seán Ó Tuama c. 1706-1775

Born near Kilmallock, County Limerick. He was a school teacher and a leading member of the Poets of the Maigue. He also ran an inn that became a well-known meeting place for the local poets. The inn is opposite the church where he is buried. His best known poem is A Chuisle na hÉigse. He is buried in Croom.
