Michael Francis McLaverty 1904-1992

Born in Carrickmacross, County Monaghan. He became a teacher and retired as Headmaster of St Thomasís Secondary School, Belfast. He was also a well-known writer whose novels and collections of short stories include Call My Brother Back, Lost Fields, The Three Brothers, The Road to the Shore and Collected Stories. He is buried in Kilclief, County Down.
