Rutherford Mayne 1878-1967

Born Samuel Waddell in Japan. He spent most of his working life in the Irish Land Commission. He was a brother of Helen Waddell and married a sister of Joseph Campbell. He wrote plays and his works include The Drone, The Turn of the Road, The Troth, Bridge Head and Peter. He is buried in Dublin.
