Seosamh MacGrianna 1901-1990

Born in Ranafast, County Donegal. He qualified as a teacher and later he worked as a translator for An Gúm. His own work is considered among the finest in modern Irish writing. He suffered from poor mental health and wrote almost nothing in his last 50 years. His works include Dochartach Dhuibhlionna agus Scéalta Eile, An Grá agus An Ghruaim, Pádraic Ó Conaire agus Aistí Eile, Mo Bhealach Féin and An Druma Mór. He died in Letterkenny. He is buried in County Donegal.
