Dónall MacAmhlaigh 1926-1989

Born in Galway. He went to England in 1951 and worked as a navvy. He also worked as a grave digger. His mostly autobiographical books reflect the difficulties of Irish emigrants in England around the 1950s. His works include: Dialann Deoraí, Saol Saighdiúra and Diarmaid Ó Dónaill.
