Augustine Henry 1857-1930

Born in Cookstown, County Tyrone. He worked in the Customs Service in China from 1881-1900 and sent back an important collection of plants to Kew Gardens. On his return he collaborated with Elwes on Trees of Great Britain and Ireland (seven volumes). He is buried in Dublin.
