“You can’t go to Limerick” I was told “and not include the author of Dear Old Thomondgate. Tom Glynn was a native of Thomondgate and besides his best known ballad, his other works include My Dog Bran, The Road to Killaloe and Where the Streams of Meelick Flow. He is buried in Limerick.
