Patrick (Paddy the Cope) Gallagher 1873-1966

Born in Cleendra, County Donegal. He established the Templecrone Co-operative Society, despite the opposition of local merchants. The success of the society led to other endeavours. He wrote the story of his life, My Story, which was published in 1939. He is buried in the cemetery adjoining what is now the library in County Donegal.
