William Bedell 1571-1642 Born
in Black Notley, Essex. He was Provost of Trinity in 1627. He became the
Protestant Bishop of Kilmore in 1629 and supervised the translation of the Old
Testament into Irish. It wasn’t printed however until 1685 and it became known
